Todd Bussey1

Todd Bussey

Todd is Steve Wyatt’s copilot, assisting Steve in content creation and production in addition to appearing on-air.  “Where else can you spend an hour laughing with friends while unpacking meaningful ideas in front of nearly a million listeners?” he asks.  “This podcast is a unique opportunity to showcase a kinder, more gracious face of Jesus and the faith community. It reflects the heart of many people I know. My prayer is that listeners —especially those who may have given up on the church — will catch a glimpse of what I believe Jesus intended His church to be.”

And that’s fun and energy with high impact, given Steve’s cohost panel which reads like a “Who’s Who” from Steve’s life.

Todd, for one, has worked with Steve since the early days of their ministries.  Todd started out as Pastor of Ministry Development at Christ’s Church in Jacksonville, FL. With 40 years of experience in local church leadership, he provides coaching and mentorship to emerging leaders across the United States and globally.   He is often sought after for his expertise in developing creative, collaborative solutions to complex challenges.

Todd currently works with organizations such as Impact Clay, a partnership uniting private, public, nonprofit, and faith-based efforts to address critical social service needs and enhance the quality of life for underserved communities, and Team Expansion, which focuses on bringing the gospel to the least-reached and most resistant parts of the world.

Kimberlee Herman1

Kimberlee Herman

When asked what she wanted to do when she grew up, 10 year-old Kim knew exactly what it was.

A nun and a truck driver. How sweet is that?

While she was not Catholic, she knew she wanted to be close to God and live a simple life. She also could not wait to drive and the idea of cruising around for work sounded ideal.

Apparently, trucking + nunning = counseling

This math formula actually works for her. She is close to God and truly “drives” or leads people to Him. It is the best of both worlds and much easier than she envisioned as a child.

After 12 years as a state-licensed therapist Kimberlee chose (with God giving her a push) to be the “nun” that she dreamt about. She became ordained and licensed with a Christian counseling organization and has not looked back. That was in 2016.

Kimberlee received her BA from the University of Iowa in 1994 (go Hawks!). She did a small stint in law school for a year (and asked herself what that had to do with her nun-trucking idea), She earned her masters in social work (MSW) at Arizona State University in 2003, she earned several certifications in inner-healing and deliverance, and received her certification in Christian counseling in 2016.

Kimberlee has written a few books (Women of the Bible, My Christian Counseling Companion, My Self-Care Counseling Companion) and co-wrote a book (Wise Parenting: Guidelines from the Book of Proverbs) and has spoken at a few conferences. She hopes to continue doing both (writing and speaking) along with her “habit” of driving people towards God through counseling.

In 2024 she joined the Wyatt Matters radio show and is loving every minute.

Bruce Templeton

Bruce Templeton hails from the Mountain State of West Viginia but considers himself an adopted son of the Bluegrass State of Kentucky.  Called to ministry at the age of 14, he began his God-partnering journey.  He earned his BA and Masters degrees at Kentucky Christian University.  Throughout his 51 years in ministry, Bruce served the Kingdom of God with distinction.  Every Church experienced dynamic growth under his leadership, his commitment to mission, his love for people, and some might say his sense of humor.  Alog the way, he served the Lord in four states:  Virginia, Kentucky (3 congregations), Indiana and California.  He served First Christian Church of Huntington Beach California for 25 years, growing the Church from 500 to 3,200 in average attendance and completing a $21 million campus rebuild, raising $16 million in three years.

During his Huntington ministry, he served 15 years as Chaplain of the Huntington Beach Police Department; 23 years on the Board of Directors of Hope International University (eight years as chairman); three years on the Board of Stewards of the North American Christian Convention (two as chairman); and six years on the board of a mission serving India.

Bruce plays golf but rarely enjoys it.  And he’s competed in Cowboy Action Shooting (SASS) for 15 years.

Retired from full time ministry, Bruce is available for speaking and consulting.

John Samples1

John Samples

John W. Samples lives in McCordsville, IN, with his high school sweetheart, their LTC daughter, and his nonagenarian father (the other John Samples who retired from the preaching ministry at age 80).

Radio listeners in Indiana, Kentucky & Tennessee know John as a DJ, talk show host, call-in co-host, play-by-play sports announcer, and news director.  He holds several Associated Press awards, including best overall news operation.

John’s media career included TV stops at the Tennessee Educational Television Network, Indiana Public Broadcasting, & WISH-TV (Indianapolis) as director, reporter, writer, anchor, Statehouse journalist, and evening news producer. He also was the GM for Kentucky’s largest weekly newspaper in the early 2000s.

John’s  non-broadcasting career highlights include lobbying in the legislature for Right to Life and more than a dozen years in the rural electric utility industry, first as a Communications Manager, then as President & CEO of a distribution cooperative.

His full-time ministry career has included running a homeless shelter in Indianapolis and two inner-city programs for troubled youth. For nearly twenty years, John was CEO of the Christian HolyLand Foundation and made some thirty trips to the Middle East, working with Arab churches in five different communities in the Galilee of Israel.

John has published five books to date (available on Amazon) and is currently developing and hosting a new podcast about various forms of dementia, the people who suffer, and the ones who give them care.

When asked about his role on Wyatt Matters, John replied, “My role? Whatever Steve tells me to do. Radio has always been my favorite medium going back to my days when I worked as an NPR station reporter/writer during the week and then as a late-night hard rock jock on the local alternative station on weekends. So, when Steve asked me to be part of the project, it took me a minute to figure out there was no rock ‘n roll.  But I agreed anyway.”When asked about the impact he hopes to have on listeners, John replied, “There are listeners?!”
